It's a simple plug & play controller, plug it in & the ps3 reads it automatic. It also has the ability to change the button functions around, it's a nice feature but I like the original layout so It's not a feature I'll use but it's there if your into that kind of thing. One little cool feature is the battle field logo is a light, looks cool in a dark room. Another thing I don't like is the joy sick pads are concave so your thumbs sink in like on Xbox controllers, I like the convex shape like the original ps3 controller, I feel it gives better control but it's not bad just my preference. Draw backs are it's corded if you call it a draw back, it comes with a really long cord & when your playing you forget it's there, so it's not bad. It works good & the joy sticks are pretty accurate when playing COD games. If your looking for a replacement controller for your ps3 & don't mind the cord, get this one. Better off keeping it in the family as in my experience 3rd party controllers are just trash on any system. In conclusion don't waste your money on this cheap thing and do yourself a favor and buy a Sony licensed Power A controller or if you can still find one a Sony DS3. It's a shame this is the closest you can get to a 360 controller on PS3 and they just missed the mark. The thing is held together on the inside with hot glue and just looks pretty on the outside. I mean I got 2 of these and one broke when it fell and the other has bad analog sticks meaning I can't run in games and can only walk. Overall I'd say this controller tries too hard to excel when it could if it dropped the paddles and had a better build quality. They also don't last long before you wear them down enough to get an outer deadzone, and that just brings down an otherwise OK controller. I like the concave sticks but IDK why they didn't just commit 100% to the Xbox style and make the right stick above the d pad. I'm not sure why it has the paddles on the back, they just get in the way and are cheaply made.
